7. Toronto Maple Leafs
Forward Offense: Not the scariest but dependable. Hopefully bounce back years from Penner and Muellar are in the cards. 51 games from Kadri was unlucky though haha.
Grade: C+
Forward Defense: Can we say the bullies are back. These bruisers will clobber you with their immense hits. Blocked shots are a need of improsve meant but geez lucic brown and dubinsky on a team I don't think Toronto will ever lose hits.
Grade: A
Defensemen Offense: I young talented squad a bounce back year from green would work wonders. If Hamilton makes the team this year you could see big chart climbers. Garrison is the wild card can he do his numbers again.
Grade: C+
Defensemen Defense: Plus minus seems to be the only weakness here but the immense numbers from Schenn and Sbisa are big points. Geez Schenn would look good on my team. Just jokes
Grade: A
Goalies: This was hard to judge the group will get a bunch of wins but let 5 goalies in during the process. If Crawford can settle down, A better grade will be needed. But if he repeats his maximum saves in a row (5) from the playoffs it will be tough to hold GAA and sv%.
Grade: C+
Prospects: Solid group here just hoping players like kadri and hamilton can make the jump. But Forsberg looks good.
Grade: B
Overall Grade: B
6. Ottawa Senators
Forward Offense: Selling Karlsson high worked wonders. hard not to say it the best offense in the league I'm still puzzled how some of these guys were aquired. High Powerplay and shots help power this group.
Grade: A+
Forward Defense: A great plus minus. But solid hit production from Callahan and Prust. The most underated aspect is these guys are pretty reliable at blocking a shot or two.
Grade: A+
Defensemen Offense: The offense here is pretty much run through Campbell with some wholes to fill if an injury occurs to campbell this group becomes even weaker offensivly.
Grade: C+
Defensemen Defense: Better over here with Orpiks great numbers and Campbell's surprising 120 blks. Still More Depth is required.
Grade: B
Goalies: Big Question mark I'm not sold on Holtby being the clear number 1 I feel Neuvirth will be given many chances. Don't want to rush.
Grade: C
Prospects: Farm is alot weaker with the win it all aproach but with Holtby and some younger players expect improvement.
Grade: B+
Overall Grade: B+
5. Winnipeg Jets
Forward Offense: This group is really strong as a team. High shots and great powerplay points. If the Nuge can stay a full year and Ladd and Wheeler put solid numbers up don't expect this to slip.
Grade A-
Forward Defense: Very solid Great hits by their 3rd 4th liners but every player manages to chip into the blocks and hits Michalek almost blocked 50 huh.
Grade: A-
Defensemen Offense: These guys are once again solid Seabrook Enstrom are great. I feel if Salo clicks in Tampa whooeh a good offense coming.
Grade: B
Defensemen Defense: Once again great numbers from Seabrook but underrated shot blockers of Enstrom and Hainsey help this group just as much. A good plus minus helps as well.
Grade: B
Goalies: Pavlec is sick but man he faces alot of shots. This year it seemed inconsitent you'd get great numbers at home awful on the road. Hard to cope with 1 goal then 6.
Grade: C+
Prospects: Without Schiefele this group actually would like some help. Being an New you'll just have to wait for some more solid prospects.
Grade: C+
Overall Grade: A-
4. Montreal Canadians
Forward Offense: Very good only getting better. Neal is a stud but high shooting Pacioretty and Rejuvenated Cole help a great offense. Plus young with more experience fantasy numbers will improve.
Grade: B
Forward Defense: You would think that sub par plus minus would fade these guys but the hits and Blocks are there to help a good squad Cole's multi cat ability helps along with young Eller looking to make good stats.
Grade: A
Defensemen Offense: Not Eye catching but Subban is a great young offensive guy. With lots of shots and assists. The defense can only get better.
Grade: B
Defensemen Defense: Hi gorges want to be on my team haha. 250 blocks crazy. But the unkown is Emelin 240 hits and 90 blocks a great value for him.
Grade: A-
Goalies: Another scenario like Florida if they don't play he'll lose these categories. But when in net some reliable numbers are there.
Grade: B-
Prospects: Nice Youth just paitence is key here. Looking for a young goalie could help improve the core of eller and Galchenyuk
Grade: B+
Overall Grade: A-
