right so were we left off was 11 lets continue:
11. New York Rangers
Forward Offense: For a team so strong the team doesn't really look the same. But there a good players in Richards Duchene and Couture. It seems the gm has gone for a more youthfull group with hoper Kreider can be a stud. But with so much developing guys this seasons too hard to predict.
Grade: C
Forward Defense: With studs like Callahan leaving this team has to grow and learn the pace. Laich was a nice pickup with his solid hits and blks but so many youngsters will have to find their niche
Grade: C
Defenseman Offense:With youth here. The Potential is very high Byfuglien and Bogasian can be studs for the time being only waitinf or Larsson and Josi to catch them. A big factor is Byfuglien skill at putting up points but an immense amount of shots for a defenseman.
Grade: B+
Defensemen Defense: With Byfuglien reigning terror. Cowen shows that this is his area with overall 200 hits in his rookie year. The future looks bright time will tell though.Plus minus will need to be improved though.
Grade: B-
Goalies: Trading King Henrik is risky business. But NYR replaced him with a underated stud Hiller is a beast the only holding him back is a more talented defence in front of him. Enroth is also a very servicable backup showing his skill when miller was injured.
Grade: B+
Prospects: In a few years this will be a very strong team. But thats the future.
Grade: A
Overall Grade: C+
Next one may shock.
10. Pittsburgh Penguins
Forward Offense: Now this Old news Crosby Malkin are Super Studs. But right now Pitts offense is pretty bare. Asides those guys ther isn't much. Greening is a wild card can his numbers improve. But If Malkin or Crosby get injured expect lesser results.
Grade: C-
Forward Defense: Better here with defensive veteren Neil and Pittsburgh's great Plus Minus But blocked shots may be a need. If Greening can improve on his 190 hits and 50 blks this offense can be rejuvenated.
Grade: C+
Defensemen Offense: With the recent trades though with forward depth in question Defense offensive abilty is very strong. With Letang who should have challenged karlsson except had a concussion the cast is very young and strong Faulk and Kulikov are great young pieces with a new year could reach 30 and 40 points respectivly.
Grade: A-
Defensemen Defense: A loss of plus minus was there but all there is needed is just further progression having a healthy staal will bring much needed hits and blks. But Engelland had 175 hits which power this defenses muscle.
Grade: C+
Goalies: Fluery is gone but Fantasy gem Halak is there. When Halak is there you don't have to worried about a bad GAA or a sloppy sv% he's seems on the top of his game and is steller for pitt.
Grade: A
Prospects: Great Talent here if Tarensenko and Schwartz can make the jump it will be great. Also has alot of prospects 30 I believe?
Grade: A
Overall Grade: B-
9. Carolina Hurricanes
Forward Offense: This Offense thrives on being a unit everyone cintributes to the team as a whole. Staal and Kunitz are the studs with points and shots. While Carolina is hoping for a bounce back year from skinner.
Grade: B
Forward Defense: This is also the benifit of having a complete roster No huge question marks. Besides the awful plus minus the hurricanes have the 2nd most hits along with very reliable shot blockers. Keeping Sutter helps since he provides needed Blocks while Ruutu and Kunitz are very skilled at throwing the body.
Grade: A-
Defensemen Offense: Hmm intruiging Mcbain is very good but it comes down to everyone is reliable at scoring on the powerplay or coming up clutch with those GWG.
Grade: B
Defensemen Defense: This is where it gets tough a -51 combined really blows along with not much hitters besides harisson and Mcbain. Hopefully the team can remain healthy.
Grade: C
Goalies: Former Conn Smythe Cam Ward may not blow you away with being scored on but he faces an immense amout on shots thus providing s good SV% plus playing alot increases chances of wins.
Grade: B
Prospects: Alright not much in the offensive department but some stud D and Goalies prospects will help the team who needs defensive help.
Grade: B
Overall Grade: B
8. Buffalo Sabres
Forward Offense: Seems to be lacking besides their top line. The rests seems to be made up of 4th liners maybe besides Hodgeson.
Grade: C
Forward Defense: Probably worse than the offese due to the fact the top line isn't much of a contributer to hits or blks. Being Minus doesn't help matters.
Grade: C-
Defensemen Offense: Complete Opposite of the Forwards a very strong offense maybe due to the fact 8 are on the roster but noneless noone can deny their scoring and shooting ability. A bounce back from Myers would be Icing.
Grade: A
Defensemen Defense: The advantage here with numbers is everyone produces. It doesn't help Mcdonagh is immense force back here with great shot blocking ability but Leopold puts up an under rated 128.
Grade: A
Goalies: Too flat out starters bolsters this crew of Miller and Brouder. Two greats here. Problem could be due to fatigue or subpar games. Don't expect much though.
Grade: A-
Prospects: A weaker area with no clear prospect most seem like Ahlers.
Grade: C
Overall Grade: B
