40 Man NHL/Prospect Roster
- Each GM will select a real life NHL franchise and will retain the rights of a 40-Man Roster made up of only players within their teams organization as of Real Life NHL Trade Deadline day 2012.
- You must start out with no more than 40 players your team owned the rights to on February 27, 2012 at 3:01 PM EST (After all real life trade deadline day trades were made).
- Each team/GMs 40 Man Roster (Prospect & NHL) must be completed and finalized by all 30 GMs in the League by June 24th or will be imposed by league Commishes before Free Agency Period Begins. The roster cannot be modified or changed without following the league rules for Trading, Free Agency, Entry Draft or Waivers.
-Please note that conducting a trade will lock your 40 Man Roster in before the date listed above.
- You must keep both your 20-Man NHL Roster and 20-Man Prospect Roster compliant (salary & roster space) during active scoring seasons.
- Please note that during the Off-Season trades, free agency signings or drafted players can put either of your 20 Man Rosters over their respective limits. But at no point must a team have more than 50 total contracts.
The 40 players are broken into two parts, the 20-Man NHL Roster and 20-Prospect Players.
Please see League Rules sections 1-9 for more details. Please also see Rule 2 for more about Player Designations specifically.
All GMs must post their 40 Man Rosters players salary cap hit as well as what year they become UFA or RFAs.
Please feel free to look at the existing Teams Roster Formats in their Boards and Threads sections for ideas and guidelines in structuring your own.
