Jackets even if we discuss this in December we'll still have 5 months to do a vote. If there is a lockout then odds are the many of the GM's who would be voting now won't actually stick around for another 8 months until the draft next summer.

I see your point, but some, including myself, WILL stick around.

When has anyone ever seen an entire NHL season wiped out because of labour difficulties. How many times in history. Every time there are negotiations in any labour dispute, they have to go to the wire Relax people....the season will be here..Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan??? too much money to be lost...tv, advertising, concessions, jerseys, beer, etc. Why you all worrying so much in fecking august? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

This would be the 3rd work stoppage in 15 years. That's why, and an entire season has been lost before. Even just shortening the training camp would suck; look at how bad the NBA regular season was last year, just an awful product.
